Basic User - How to Update Custom Voicemail Greetings

  1. Log in the PBX Portal 
    1. Office Managers will need to Click the User Name in top right corner > My Account before continuing with these instructions.
    2. If an Office Manager needs to update a greeting for a user other than themselves, follow Office Managers - How to Update User Voicemail Settings.
  2. Click Messages
  3. Click Settings
  4. Scroll down to Greetings
  5. Click the manage button next to Voicemail Greeting


  6. Click Add Greeting


  7. Select whether to use Text-To-Speech, Upload, or Record a greeting.
  8. Enter a name for the greeting.
Text-To-Speech = use this option to type your desired script in the Message text box.
The default language is English, but French and Spanish options are also available. Choose your preferred Voice (we recommend Daniel, Fay, or Holly).
Listen to your script to ensure the voice you choose pronounces the script correctly. You can add commas/periods for additional pauses or spell words phonetically if needed.
Click Save.

Upload = use this option to upload a file for use as your greeting.
Click the Browse button. Navigate to the file, click the file, and click Open.
Click Upload to save the greeting.
Uploaded files must be in an MP3 or WAV format.

Recorduse this option if you wish to have the system call you to record your greeting directly.
In the Call me at field enter the number to call (either an extension or a telephone number such as your cell phone) and click Call. Your phone will be called. At the prompt, record the new greeting, and then press # when you finish your recording or hang up.
The newly recorded greeting is then saved to the user.

  1. If Recording a new greeting, enter your extension so the system calls you.


  2. Click Call

  3. Answer, record the greeting after the tone, then press # when completed.

  4. Click Done


  5. Click Save at the bottom of the screen

  6. You should now have the option to choose the greeting you recorded, just make sure to click save again.
