How the Helpdesk Button Works

The Helpdesk Button runs a package of scripts designed to collect information that will help our IT Support Team troubleshoot and resolve your issue quickly. The information collected includes:

  • Currently Logged-In User Account
  • Computer Name and Hardware Identifiers
  • Screenshots of Your Current Screen and Up to 30 Recent Actions
  • Network and Wi-Fi Connection Information and Diagnostics
  • Hardware Status
  • Running Processes
  • Recent Event Viewer Logs
  • Recent Website History
  • Custom Scripts and Information Specific to Your IT Environment

Our primary focus is maintaining your privacy while ensuring that we gather only the essential information necessary to assist you.

No information is sent to us until you submit your problem details. Once you submit your issue, the data is securely sent to Ally Communications to assist with resolving your support request.

If you have further questions about the data collected, please contact us at Ally Communications.

Your Responsibility When Submitting Information

As an end user, it is important to make sure you do not submit private or confidential information through the Helpdesk Button UI when creating a support ticket. While we have taken measures to securely store the information we collect outside of our ticketing system, please remember that compliance with HIPAA, SOX, and other privacy-related laws still applies to any information you submit.

Before submitting any potentially confidential information, make sure Ally Communications has the proper agreements and paperwork on file with your organization. This will ensure that we handle any personal information in compliance with applicable regulations.

For any further questions or support, please reach out to Ally Communications directly.
