AT&T Gateways - Enabling Remote Access
Enabling Remote Access
- To enable remote access you will need the Access Code.
- Browse to the IP address of the gateway. Default: 192.168.1.254
- Click on the Remote Access tab.
- Enter the Access Code. This is on the device on a sticker.
- Create a password for the "tech" user and enter the port number that you would like remote access on.
For the most part you can leave the port defaulted.
- Once you Enable Remote Access, then you will browse to the gateway via the remote access URL shown in the setup.
NOTE: You cannot browse to it via the static assignable IPs or static GW IP. - The user name is "tech" and the password that you created above.
NOTE: Always save these passwords in Keeper.
