AT&T Gateways - Enabling Remote Access

Enabling Remote Access

  1. To enable remote access you will need the Access Code.
  2. Browse to the IP address of the gateway. Default: 192.168.1.254
  3. Click on the Remote Access tab.
  4. Enter the Access Code. This is on the device on a sticker.
  5. Create a password for the "tech" user and enter the port number that you would like remote access on.
    For the most part you can leave the port defaulted.
  6. Once you Enable Remote Access, then you will browse to the gateway via the remote access URL shown in the setup.
    NOTE: You cannot browse to it via the static assignable IPs or static GW IP.
  7. The user name is "tech" and the password that you created above.
    NOTE: Always save these passwords in Keeper.
